Why We Do It
Small healthcare practices deserve the same level of regulatory protection and ethical leadership as major hospitals — but most don’t have the budget or internal expertise to build a robust compliance program on their own.
That gap leaves practices vulnerable to breaches, fines, operational inefficiencies, and reputational damage.
We created Virginia Compliance, LLC to close that gap.
We believe every practice should be:
✓ Confident in their compliance
✓ Protected from regulatory risk
✓ Supported with clear policies and ethical guidance
✓ Equipped to deliver safe, privacy-centered patient care
✓ Audit-ready at all times
✓ Led by experts who genuinely care about integrity and outcomes
Our “why” is simple:
We help small practices stay compliant, protected, and focused on serving their communities — because strong compliance builds trust, and trust builds better healthcare.

My Mission is Simple:
To provide small healthcare practices with the same level of compliance protection and executive oversight typically reserved for large healthcare systems, at a fraction of the cost.
I’m Angela Harrison, the founder of Virginia Compliance, LLC, and a lifelong advocate for the belief that compliance should be the cornerstone of every medical practice — the foundation for ethical, transparent, and high-integrity healthcare operations. With more than 15 years of experience in regulatory compliance, privacy oversight, internal auditing, and organizational ethics, I help small healthcare practices navigate complex regulations with confidence and clarity.
My background spans medical, dental, pharmacy, nonprofit, and media environments, giving me a unique perspective on how organizations function — and how easily compliance can fall through the cracks without strong leadership. Over the years, I’ve built compliance programs, led HIPAA investigations, guided organizations through accreditation, strengthened internal controls, and trained teams to protect patient trust at every level.
What truly drives me is helping practices feel supported instead of overwhelmed, protected instead of exposed, and confident instead of uncertain when it comes to HIPAA, CMS, and other regulatory requirements. I believe that every practice — no matter how small — deserves access to executive-grade compliance expertise.
I hold an MBA from Longwood University, a Master of Legal Studies specializing in Business and Compliance from American University Washington College of Law, and I’m completing a Doctor of Executive Leadership at the University of Lynchburg — all of which strengthen my ability to connect regulatory expectations with real-world decision-making. I’m also trained in HIPAA privacy, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse prevention, and compliance ethics, with an ongoing certification in compliance and ethics leadership.
At my core, I value integrity, clarity, and practical solutions. I partner closely with my clients, turn complex regulations into actionable steps, and help practices build the kind of compliance foundation that protects patients, supports staff, and withstands audits with confidence.
If you’re ready to strengthen your compliance program without adding a full-time executive to your payroll, I’d love to help.
